Family Camp 2026
Dates – Friday, 2nd – Tuesday, 6th January 2026
Location – Ngatuhoa Lodge
Cost – $25pp Per Day for Lodge, $15pp Per Day for Tent (Kids 5 and under free)
* For families of 5 or more, Current will cover the total cost of one family member. This is reserved for immediate family.
If you joined us for our last family camp, you’ll remember how amazing it was – spending time in fellowship, having fun, and getting some incredible Bible teaching. This year we are blessed to have Doug Aldridge, a professor from Ozark Christian College, and his wife, Georgia, join us all the way from the USA!
Here is what you need to know:
Ngatuhoa Lodge is so close, yet so far. It is at the end of Omanawa Rd, on DOC land that goes back into native bush so far you will have no idea where you are. Access is through a locked gate, and then a 20 minute drive on gravel roads to the end. It will not be easy to come and go so just plan on staying the whole time. Believe us, your car will thank you for it!
Activities: Abseiling, mountain biking, zipline, Burma trails, swimming hole, jumping rock, greasy log, kayaking, tubing, nine different waterfall hikes, orienteering course, possum trapping, and more!
We will have times of worship, fun and really great Bible teaching. This is the best thing you will do with your family all summer!
There is no cell reception or wifi at the camp. We would LOVE this to be a Sabbath from technology for us all. To get about as far away from the comforts of home as we can get, and focus on enjoying and learning from God in His creation with His people. We all need a Sabbath rest, this is a great excuse to do it!
